lacrosse
i started playing lacrosse my sophomore year of high school. when i graduated i came to BYU and made their lacrosse team. even though it is a club team it is still really competitive. when i tried out my freshman year i didn't event want to play, my parents were the ones who wanted me to play. regardless, i made the team. it was such a different pace from high school. the ball and the players moved so much faster and i could barely keep up. after that i wasn't sure if i would play any more seasons, but i did. now that i look back i am so glad i stuck with it the past two years. i have learned so much. a few things i learned were; independence, friendship, hard work, mental and physical duration. there were so many times when i wanted to quit but i never did. now i am a Jr and this is my third season playing for BYU. we are starting this season ranked fourth in the nation and our first tournament is in Santa Barbara in the middle of February. we have been conditioning and getting ready for the season to start soon. i am excited to see how we do, but no matter what happens its always a good experience to play on a team.

First week of school
I made it through my first two weeks of school and I already feel so overwhelmed and behind. I was talking to my roommate and she feels the same way, she said she feels like she is just doing the bare minimum and just making it by, but she doesn't have time to do anything else. I hope I start to get the hang of things and have a regular schedule soon because Im starting to think i wont be able to handle this semester. Although I have to remember that this is how ever semester begins and I make it out just fine. This semester there will be a little bit more going on then usual so I decided to take less credits, but Im not sure if that is going to help. My boyfriend has been a good support though he always is. Im so excited that we have monday off, it feels like a well deserved break. I don't have any plans yet, but Im not worried, Im sure Ill have plenty to do. i started lacrosse practice today and it was intense. Iv been working out a little bit, but i just found out today that it wasn't enough. We started, the first hour, with practicing drills and stick skills. Then we went to the field house to run and condition for another hour, and that kicked my butt. Im excited for this season. We have a lot of really good players and everyone gets along really well. We have a new coach and I really like her. Even though i feel really overwhelmed this semester Im still excited to play.

Christmas break
Christmas break went by so fast, and I don't feel ready to be back in school. i still feel burned out from last semester. The first week of break I babysat for my parents, my three younger siblings and three cousins, while they went on vacation with my aunt and uncle. I had them for five days and four nights, it was intense. All of the kids ranging from ages two though thirteen. It was fun but near the end I started to get burned out and the last couple of days the heater broke and it was freezing. i was so relieved when my parents got home. The second week i went to Arizona to visit my boyfriend and meet his family. It was so fun and warm down there. The weather was such a change from Utah it was really nice not to freeze every time i walked out the door for a week. His family was really nice and i liked them a lot. He has four brothers and two sisters. One of his sisters in my age and really dramatic she made the trip a little more interesting. It was nice to go down there and just relax for a week before going back to school. His family was so welcoming and i enjoyed their company.
